Advantages:
Sediment is eliminated in the primary fermenter
when transferred to the glass carboy
Glass provides maximum protection from oxidation during the secondary stage
The beer may remain in the carboy up to 3 weeks, achieving maximum clarity,
before bottling is required
Bottling may be accomplished by the bulk priming method
The beer may be bottled in the range of 10-28 days, at your discretion
Disadvantages:
An extra transfer is necessary
Liquid yeast lagers are possible, but quality may be reduced because of the
use of a plastic primary
