This system ONLY includes equipment.

You will also need:
a recipe, bottles, and a brew kettle.

Advantages:
During active fermentation, a large portion of the sediment is blown out of the carboy
Glass is easy to sanitize and provides maximum protection from oxidation
Bottling may be accomplished by the bulk priming method
May be used as a Two-Stage System

Disadvantages:
The blow-off reservoir must be checked periodically
The blow-off tubing should be cleaned shortly after the completion of fermentation and must be replaced periodically
The beer must be bottled within 14 days
"Liquid yeast" lagers are not recommended without the advantage of transferring to a second carboy
