Verdicchio is one of central
Italy’s extremely popular white wine varieties, produced from the
astonishingly lively Verdicchio grape. Its name is derived from verde, meaning
green, referring to the yellow-green skin of the grape, which gives the wine a
subtle, greenish hue. The aroma is delicate, light and fruity, and the flavor is
pleasantly crisp and distinctly dry, with bright lemony acidity and a fresh,
elegant finish that cleans the palate. Verdicchio allows for early consumption
and pairs perfectly with seafood and cream sauce pastas.
