Hazelnut Brown Ale

German Altbier

Color International Bittering Units Alcohol
14 22 +/- 4.0

German Altbier could best be described as a German Pale Ale in terms of style, but is softer and more well-balanced, with a pronounced reddish-copper appearance. Alts are well endowed with the smack of noble hop varieties. This style is significantly drier and less fruity than its English counterparts. Its bittersweet flavor and medium body are in perfect harmony with the traditionally spicy German palate. The carbonation is high and head retention is extended, and it has a slightly flowery nose.

In the style of: Grolsch Amber, Widmer’s
